Generational Change in the Executive Board of Hans Hundegger AG

Hawangen, May 5, 2025 – Hans Hundegger AG announces that the company’s founder, Hans Hundegger, will hand over the position of Chairman of the Executive Board to his nephew, Josef Hundegger. However, Hans Hundegger will remain with the company as Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, although he intends to gradually withdraw from day-to-day operations.

Josef Hundegger, who has held various leadership positions within the company for several years, will succeed his uncle and continue the company’s highly successful work. “It is an honor for me to take over as Chairman of the Executive Board. My special thanks go to my uncle for his trust and to our employees, whose dedication and loyalty make our company strong,” said Josef Hundegger.

Hans Hundegger, who founded the company in 1978, will continue to play an important role on the board and contribute his many years of experience and expertise. “It is an honor for me to know the company is in the hands of my nephew, and I am confident that he will lead Hans Hundegger AG successfully into the future,” explained Hans Hundegger.

Hans Hundegger AG has experienced impressive growth. After its founding in 1978, Hans Hundegger began developing the world’s first fully automatic joinery machine in 1981, which was delivered in 1985. Today, Hans Hundegger AG is the global market leader in CNC-controlled joinery machines, with a market share of over 90%.

With the change in the Executive Board and the role transition between Hans and Josef Hundegger, the company is sending a clear signal of continuity and future viability, remaining in family hands. Alongside Josef Hundegger as Chairman and Hans Hundegger as Deputy Chairman, Rainer Auerbacher will lead the company into the future as Executive Board Member for Sales, Service, and Marketing.
